Billing

McCutchanville Fire Department has passed a cost recovery resolution to help recoup rising costs of the services provided to Center Township. The resolution focuses on billing, strictly to insurance companies only, for services tendered in Center Township from the McCutchanville Fire Department. Billed services include motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, vehicle fires, high dollar HazMat recovery, etc. to residents of Center Township and non-residents. Should the billed party not have insurance coverage, or the insurance carried denies the claim, McCutchanville Fire Department will NOT bill the resident or non-resident directly and the billed costs will be dissolved. Medical services nor false alarms will not be billed at this time and are not covered as billable services in the approved resolution. Billing fees outlined in the resolution are in accordance with the State Fire Marshall’s list of billable service fees. Fire Department services are billed by other suburban fire departments and city departments in the area due to rising costs. McCutchanville Fire Department plans to begin billing insurance companies only on January 1, 2020 through a third-party billing company. See below for copy of Resolution.
