1994: McCutchanville Expands

January 1, 1994

In 1994 BFI, who owned and operated the Evansville Landfill, donated a large plot of land to the department. McCutchanville saw this as an opportunity to expand the department across the district. Upon the property Station 10 was built. Known then as West Station, this 3 bay station offered better protection to the west side of McCutchanville’s wide response district. German Township would operate out of this station also for a number of years. This was due in part to the fact that St. Joseph Avenue is the district divider between the two departments.
