1986: McCutchanville Breaks Ground For New Station

August 15, 1986

In 1986 the McCutchanville Fire Department decided to move from its location in the Swope Hardware Store Garage to the McCutchanville School across the street.  August 15th the department breaks ground for the new station. An addition was made to the east side of the school building in order to house 5 apparatus. In addition to the bay, a kitchen and upstairs living area was constructed. The new Station was completed in the spring of 1987.
