1983: McCutchanville Aids Knight Township

Before 1983 Knight Township had used McCutchanville as their fire service provider. In the years leading up, the members who lived in Knight Township began to work towards forming their own fire department. McCutchanville supported the township until Knight was large enough to support itself. It branched off and was based out of Station 6 off Maxwell Avenue. The department would expand to two stations and cover much of the east side of Evansville.
