Stations

McCutchanville’s original station was located in the Swope Hardware Store’s garage for over 30 years. In 1982 the organization decided to move across the street to the former McCutchanville School. An addition was made next to the main structure to house the 5 units that would respond from this building.

The Station now serves as the headquarters for all administrative operations. Within the school, Al Perry and the McCutchanville Auxillary have the former classrooms rented out. The old school gym is rented out to groups such as Honor Dogs, Basketball teams, and citizens requesting a place to host parties.

In 1994 BFI, who owned and operated the Evansville Landfill, donated a large plot of land to the department. McCutchanville built upon this property Station 10. This station serves as the western hub for department operations. In the early 2000’s a training center was also built adjacent to the station. This includes a live burn chamber, mobile home for search and rescue operations, double stack trailer for basement operations, automobile shell for car fire operations, and maze trailer for firefighter safety and orientation.
