Private Roy Wright is a volunteer firefighter who started his fire service career in 2016 at the McCutchanville Fire Department. In 2017, he was promoted to a committee position on the Membership Committee.  In this role, Pvt. Wright is charged with assisting in membership contact, developing membership and recruitment plans, determining and responding to membership needs, and recognizing and implementing methods for rewarding members. All these duties in addition to performing skilled firefighting, emergency medical service work and maintaining situational awareness. He is currently certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and holds numerous firefighting certifications. Private Roy Wright is passionate about the fire service and has proved to be a positive asset to the McCutchanville Fire Department.

Private Wright received his Associate's degree in Criminal Justice at the University of . He is employed with the Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Department and has worked as a Deputy since 2011. From 2005 to 2009 Pvt. Wright served in the United States Marine Corps and completed two tours of duty in the Al Anbar Provence of Iraq.
